About
Hey! I’m Yana-Frida Binaev — a Creative Director, Photographer and multidisciplinary creative currently based between Lagos and Dubai.
My work has always lived across different creative worlds. Over the years, I’ve worked across photography, creative direction, production, documentary storytelling, writing, dance, cultural projects and visual content. I’m also a polyglot and speak seven languages — something that has deeply shaped the way I understand people, culture and storytelling.
Having lived and worked across different countries and cultures, I’ve developed a strong interest in the ways people express identity, beauty, belonging and culture. I’m drawn to bold colour, movement, human connection and stories that feel alive — all of which naturally find their way into my work.
As a photographer, I focus primarily on portraiture, behind-the-scenes photography and documentary storytelling. Beyond photography, I develop creative concepts and bring together people, visuals, locations, fashion, film, music and culture to build a wider world around an idea.
In 2026, I founded UNINVITED, an independent creative agency and production house bringing these different parts of my creative practice under one roof. Through UNINVITED, I work across creative direction, concept development, production and visual storytelling, collaborating with creatives and talent to take ideas from concept through execution.
Outside of my creative work, I’ve spent years working independently in financial markets — an experience that has shaped my discipline, resilience and approach to building things from the ground up.
You can explore the different sides of my work throughout this website.
Thank you for visiting — I hope you enjoy the world I’m building.
